Dr. Joel Adler

Dr. Joel Adler has served as the Medical Director for Life Source Services Hospice since its inception in 2000. He has acquired a wealth of experience and knowledge in geriatric and palliative care medicine during his 31 years as a physician.

Dr. Adler’s medical training began in at St. George’s University School of Medicine, followed by his residency in Internal Medicine at Coney Island Hospital and his Geriatric Fellowship at SUNY Buffalo. For five years he served as Director of two long-term care facilities and then as Director of Bergen Pines Geriatric Evaluation Program and co-director of UMDNJ’s Geriatric Fellowship Program.

Dr. Adler progressed into hospice because,

It seemed like a natural extension to working in the field of Geriatrics. When our time is close, we deserve to have a comfortable transition, and to die with dignity. Hospice is a wonderful option for both patient and family.

In his free time Dr. Adler enjoys bicycling, kayaking, swimming, music, and movies.
